Role and Responsibilities: As a Forklift Operator, you will play a crucial role in our day-to-day operations. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Safely operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, finished goods, and supplies throughout the facility.
- Loading and unloading trucks, palletising products, and ensuring accurate inventory control.
- Conducting pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Collaborating with warehouse and production teams to ensure efficient and timely material flow.
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area and following good manufacturing practices (GMP).
- Reporting any equipment malfunctions, accidents, or safety hazards to supervisors immediately.
- Demonstrating a commitment to teamwork, reliability, and professionalism.
Qualifications and Skills: To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Previous experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Valid and current forklift licence and a proven track record of safe and efficient forklift operation.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse and inventory management practices.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documenting inventory movements.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
