Who we are looking for
We are currently looking for a Forklift Driver to join our team in our warehouse located in Acacia Ridge. You will be working Monday to Friday between 5am and 3pm, with additional hours and week-end coverage when required.
Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operations of the warehouse and supporting the Operations Team within the fast-paced environment of Austrans.
What your days would look like?
Key functions (but not limited to):
- Responsible for the loading & unloading palletised stock out of containers whilst following our safety procedures
- Restraining loads according to load restraint requirements
- Conduct and record all pre/post daily forklift maintenance checks and report all defects
- Coordinate truck positioning through clear communication with the driver and control traffic movements within the loading/unloading area
- Storage of pallets into the warehouse safely and efficiently as well as in the correct stow points
- Preparation of outgoing freight, ensuring that goods are secured/packed correctly for dispatch.

- Previous experience handling freight with a counterbalance forklift

Desirable, but not essential:
- Previous experience in the transport & logistics industry
- Ability to work additional hours or after hours if required
