Forklift Operator / Freight Officer - Adelaide

Centurion Transport in Adelaide, Cavan, is currently seeking experienced Forklift Operators to join our operations departments full-time as a Freight Officer. Tasks & Responsibilities

• Operating a forklift to load and unload freight in a safe and timely manner
• Processing various types of freight from beginning to end
• Secure and restrain all loads in a safe manner as per the load restraint guide
• Ensuring all scanning is accurate and complete for freight in the received, loaded, staged and unloaded functions
• Preparation of outgoing freight ensuring that goods are secured and packed correctly for dispatch
• Guaranteeing freight is loaded in time to meet scheduled vehicle departure times

Requirements of the role

• Current Forklift Licence (LF)
• Preferred experience with general freight or warehousing
• Ability to take direction from management and supervisors
• Preferred scanning or computer data entry experience
• Customer service and communication skills
• Ability to comply with company policies, procedures, and RIPPA values
