About the role & team

In this role you will report to our Industries Manager (Trevor), and work in our team of 11 Industries Supervisors who work in our warehouse, metalwork, and woodwork workshops in the Prison.

You'll drive the forklift inside the prison for most of your workday, moving whatever is required. This could include large grocery deliveries for our kitchen, pallets of nuts and bolts, large bins and small amounts of furniture. While driving you'll ensure you're following speed limits, unloading within the right zones and unloading correctly.

You may also need to provide coverage if our Industries Supervisors are absent, which includes overseeing a team of prisoners working in our warehouse packaging facility. This will involve demonstrating practical tasks to prisoners, assisting and guiding them through tasks.

What we're looking for

• A current Forklift License
• Recent or current forklift driving experience
• Experience working in a warehouse or factory environment (desirable)
• A current Rigger's certificate (desirable)
