About the role
As the new warehouse operative, you will have the opportunity to join a global company that creates and delivers innovative, sustainable, high-value surfaces for the fields of architecture and design. You will work on diverse and challenging projects where your contributions will be highly appreciated in the Yatala site. Some of your duties will include:
- Signing for Shipments upon receiving
- Verify correct merchandise has been received.
- Inspect Merchandise for and damages/ discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate record of Inventory - Received/ distributed.
- Contact Suppliers or distributors to resolve and delivery/ Shipment issues.
- Weighing slabs of stone/ marble and selecting appropriate envelopes, boxes, containers or crates in which to pack them in.
- Strategically storing merchanise to maximize storage space in within the warehouse
- Promptly processing orders to be dispatched accurately - Retrieving correct product, packing, sealing, and labelling.
- Operating Overhead crane to pick products using sling attachments.
- Use of Forklifts, hand carts, Pallet Jacks to load/unload, move, stack and arrange merchandise.
- A great team culture with supportive management
- Flexible starting times and shifts - 6am-2pm, 7am-3pm or 8am-4pm
- Fulltime permanent contract
- 10% Bonuses if KPI's are achieved - Quarterly!
- Regular team BBQ's/ Pizza days
- Must demonstrate a proactive persona, and the ability to take initiative
- Contribute to the Positive team culture on site
- Willing to learn and grow
- A Valid CB Licence (Bridge & Gantry Crane Licence)
- Aside from a current LF Ticket, Counterbalance experience working with Fragile products is preferred
