Form of workA modern and progressive national transport provider, Hi-Trans Express is currently seeking Forklift Loaders for our Gillman Operations team.
The primary focus of the roles will be safe and efficient forklift operation when handling, loading, unloading, and storing freight.
Experience Required:
- Current LF forklift licence
- Minimum of 2 years current experience (ideally)
- Experience in Freight industry highly regarded
- Will need to complete pre-employment medical and national police check
Role Description
- Freight control, handling pallets, dangerous goods, awkward shape and
oversize cargo - Loading and Unloading Trucks (PUD and B-Double interstate trucks)
- Opening/closing Tautliners vehicles, removing gates and strapping
- Understanding Load restraint compliance
- Awareness of trailer mass limits and numeracy skills for correct weight distribution
- Understanding chain of responsibilities (COR)
- RF Scanning freight into location
- Ability to work unsupervised in a team environment.
Some weekend / overtime available depending on workload however not compulsory.
