Kingdom Services is seeking general construction labourers to work on a building site in Woden, ACT.
We are currently expanding and looking for skilled and fully qualified Formwork Carpenters, Concrete Finishers, and General Labourers to join our team. These are fulltime positions with a base 38-hour week. White card is essential to all roles.
The Formwork Carpenter Role:
The successful applicant will report to the site supervisor on a daily basis, some of the following tasks are as follows:
- Ability to read and understand drawings
- Selecting and ordering materials required and prepare layouts
- Measuring and cutting wood
- Assembling prepared wood to form structures and fittings ready to install
- Safely operating hand and power tools
- Making traditional formwork from timber / plywood and tying steel as per drawings.
Minimum Requirements:
- Certificate III or IV in the relevant field
- Previous experience with carpentry/ concrete/formwork: 2 years (Required)
- Machinery: 2 years (Preferred but not essential)
- A strong work ethic, commitment to safety and a can-do-attitude
The Concrete Finisher Role:
The successful applicant will report to the site supervisor on a daily basis, some of the following tasks are as follows:
- Cut joints/grooves in concrete with edging tools to help control cracking, layout and saw cut joints with an early entry saw
- Concrete Layout
- Concrete Finishing
- Concrete Forms
- Studying specifications in drawings and building plans to prepare project
- Layout and determine dimensions and materials required
- Construct forms for the placement of concrete and structures
- Check forms while concrete is being placed

The General Labourer Role:
The successful applicant will report to the site supervisor on a daily basis, some of the following tasks are as follows:
- Unload, carry and stack building materials. Place tools and equipment in position for work activity
- Dig trenches for footings and services using hand tools and powered tools as necessary to break up hard ground, rock and concrete
- Assist to erect and dismantle scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, barricades etc
- Pour and spread concrete
- Assist to erect and dismantle formwork and falsework
- Use wheelbarrows to remove rubble and rubbish from building sites
- Maintain a clean site and undertake housekeeping duties
