This role will oversee the coordination of and form part of the direct support team supporting children, young people and their families spending quality time together. Some outside of business hours work maybe required as needed.Key Responsibilities
- Actively lead a team of family contact to children, young people and families including providing supervision and support, and promoting a positive team culture
- Support teams to embed team-based ways of working and promoting the adoption of relevant practice frameworks
- Ensure practice meets the needs of children, young people and families, and the standards set by the Office of the Children's Guardian and the Department of Communities and Justice
- Be responsible for the recruitment, rostering and management of the contact work team across NSW
- Conduct contract management and reviews, including reporting on performance of existing contracts and service level agreements
- Tertiary qualification in Community Services, Leadership and/or Management and equivalent experience
- Experience delivering therapeutic out of home care or family-based care models with young people
- Experience managing or leading Child and Family services, including delivering relevant programs across the Community Services sector such as residential accommodation services and family-based placements
- Experience providing reflecting practice in both group and individual settings
- Direct work with children and young people with complete support needs and disabilities
- Salary based on SCHADS 5.1 ($47.50 per hour)
