Front Door Manager

Permanent, full-time position.
This position can be based from North West, Launceston or Hobart.

About the Role:

The Front Door Manager provides high-level oversight of the Housing Connect Front Doors to ensure consistent high-quality person-centred services are being provided for people seeking assistance. The Manager is also responsible for the seamless integration of the Housing Connect Portal to other Front Door processes and ensures that there are systems in place for monitoring the performance and usability of the Portal. The Front Door manager provides high-level direction and supervision to the Housing Connect Senior staff and ensures there are systems in place to integrate all Housing Connect services (Front Doors and Personalised Support).

This role involves intra-state travel.

The successful applicant will possess demonstrable competency, knowledge, understanding and/or skills in the following areas:

• High level strategic management skills with the ability to plan, implement and monitor new services and systems.
• Demonstrated experience in building, inspiring and leading teams including monitoring team performance.
• Well-developed conceptual and analytical skills with the ability to recommended strategic approaches to address complex issues.
• High level consultation and communication skills with the ability to build relationships with diverse and multidisciplinary groups and communicate with influence.
• Well-developed organisational and time management skills with the ability to plan workload, prioritise and meet deadlines.
• A commitment to working collaboratively with Housing Connect partners to negotiate a consistent approach across all areas of operations.
• Tertiary qualifications relevant to the position and at least 5 years experience in the field or extensive experience and lesser qualifications deemed equivalent. Demonstrated experience at a senior management level

The successful applicant will be required to:

• provide a current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration (employment/volunteer category) including NDIS Worker Screening Check
• present an unsupervised contact with children or vulnerable people type National Police Check (no older than 12 months);
• provide an International Police Check if you have resided for 12 months or more outside of Australia after the age of 16;
• provide a satisfactory Anglicare assessed medical:
• provide a current provisional or full Australian Driver Licence.

On commencement the successful applicant will be required to undertake our structured Safeguarding Children Training program.
