Front End Developer

Viva Labs, the newest business and tech division of Viva Leisure, is searching for a new Front-End developer to support the vision and development of Vivas bespoke systems.  

Viva Leisure is one of Australia’s leading fitness companies founded in 2004. Viva Leisure operates fitness clubs within the health and leisure industry and has a trajectory of growth to be the largest independent health club operator in Australia, and are the first fitness facility operator to list on the Australian Securities Exchange.

In this role, you will initially assist Viva with building new internal systems associated with our member platforms, billing platforms, and other projects to support the growth, development and improvement of Viva Leisure technical assets.

You will support the development and build in collaboration with stakeholders that are internally and externally facing with support and guidance from Viva Leisure’s Project Managers and Head of Labs.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Our ideal candidate will bring skill and experience in the latest systems and stack consisting of, but not limited to:

• Advanced HTML5, CSS3  & JavaScript
• Performance and Scalability
• Exposure to React.js(2-3 years experience)
• Hands-on experience in React, Webpack and Redux
• Angular
• Responsive Design / UX / Bootstrap
• CSS preprocessors (Less, Sass, or Stylus)
• Version Control, API documentation (postman)
• Agile, TDD
• Material UI(css framework)
• Understanding of web service technologies such as HTTP, and REST
• Some Knowledge on AWS stacks
