THE OPPORTUNITY
Our fast paced, dynamic and growth focussed agency is on the hunt for a talented Front End Developer & SEM Specialist to join our busy agency. As a Front End Developer & SEM Specialist, you will assist us in maintaining and scaling our websites and marketing initiatives. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with our Engineering and Growth teams to update content, support third-party integrations, and experiment with and develop new features to help us grow our business.
We're seeking self-starters that want to work together to solve new, unusual, and complicated challenges that have a positive impact. We build, test and measure the impact of the experiments we run. We appreciate developers who are quick to pick up new frameworks/tools and are thoughtful about building quickly while being mindful of technical debt.
IDEAL TEAM MEMBER:
Minimum of 3 years experience in Front End Development required
Minimum of 3 years of Digital Agency or equivalent experience preferred
Experience with PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, MYSQL, and CMS systems
Experience of working with design teams and converting invision mocks into responsive web pages
Experience with SEO tools such as Screaming Frog, SEMrush or Ahrefs, Google Search Console, etc.
Experience in and understand all things SEO - technical SEO, Onsite Optimisation and Offsite Optimisation
Understanding of On-Page SEO Best Practices and Link Building techniques
Experience with Google Suite (Analytics, Search Console, Tag Manager, Recaptcha & Maps);
Working with the team, building and maintaining some successful Shopify sites
Knowledge of WordPress customisation, theming and creation or modification of plug-ins
Experience with WHM/cPanel
Have an extensive knowledge of all SEM principles and application
Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Key tasks and responsibilities include but not limited to:
Front End Web Development
Developing websites and landing pages using WordPress, Shopify, Squarespace and WIX
Ensure websites and landing pages consistently meet expectations of designs, wireframing tools, and written briefs
Deliver well written, optimized and responsive code using web development best practices
Establish and manage architecture on Websites for maintenance, security and scale
Manage all aspects of the CMS for UX and efficiency
Ensure performance and improve site speed across all devices and browsers
Improve Google Web Core Vitals score, including fixing LCP and CLS issues
Proactively report, Identify and fix bugs and issues
Implement technical SEO best practice with guidance from monthly audits
Update and maintain web pages across multiple websites – including managing system updates and backups.
Participate in the entire development lifecycle, from planning, implementation, documentation, testing, and deployment
SEM
Effectively manage all day to day operations of the SEM channel as well as associated tech and platforms
Perform keyword research, reporting & insights, technical audits, content optimisation, & activity planning
Advise and implement on-site and technical SEO
Collaborate with the content team to increase website traffic and keyword rankings
Identify and manage off-page SEO opportunities
Manage, monitor and analyse SEM campaign performance to meet key performance goals
Increase Google My Business performance and optimisation across portfolios and projects
Develop and Implement SEM Strategy
Ensure SEM supports and aligns to the broader marketing plan
Effective reporting on the success of SEM campaigns
