One of Australia's most leading Federal Government departments are looking to engage an experienced Front End Software Developer to work with an internal team to assist in the creation of websites and source data from back end via API to build high quality user interfaces. The role will be based in Canberra or remote, with the successful Front End Software Developer to be offered a 6-month contract partnered with a 2 X 6-month extension options.

The successful Front End Software Developer will be responsible for the below:

Contribute to building the front end of a national recognised list
Implement a headless CMS and API integration for search and data services
Implement a user interface taking accessibility, security, and quality into account
Ensuring all segments are meeting the DTA Digital Service Standards

The successful Front End Software Developer will have experience in the following:

Building high quality used interfaces for the web
Using version control such as GIT
Ability to use GraphQL and REST APIs
Optimising performance and SEO using SSG, SSR and/or ISR
