Fuel Efficiency Specialist

Reporting to the Head of Fuel and Aviation Decarbonisation, the role will amongst other things, optimise the airline's fuel consumption practices. This role involves leading both existing and new Fuel Efficiency initiatives, managing technology resources, analysing data for insights, and fostering relationships with internal stakeholders (particularly flight crew).
In addition, you will collaborate with the Flight Operations team and engage with various departments across the organisation to implement Fuel Efficiency measures company-wide.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and implement Fuel Efficiency initiatives as part of the fuel optimisation program,
• Manage the Fuel Efficiency tech suite (Optimising existing tech suite and proposing new software when relevant)
• Report Fuel Efficiency metrics effectively to senior management and finance.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, especially flight crew and related support areas.
• Work with relevant policy owners to ensure Fuel Efficiency measures are compliant with regulations and inform/own the fuel policy.
• Champion Fuel Efficiency across the business

What you need to be successful:

• Current Airline Transport Pilots License or Commercial Pilots License
• 5+ years of commercial airline aviation experience in flight operations or other relevant area
• Demonstrated experience in working with relevant Fuel Efficiency software suits and data analysis.
• Understand technical aspects related to the efficient operational use of aviation fuel.
• Lead critical and complex operational and/or cross-functional projects.
• Influence and negotiate effective commercial and operational outcomes.
