Fuel Specialist
Work Location: Solomon - Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.
Roster: 7:7 Days Only - FIFO ex Perth
Key Responsibilities
- Fuel delivery planning, coordinating trucks and fuel delivery to ensure continuous fuel supply.
- Monitor fuel levels and transfers using SCADA
- Liaise with planners and supervisors to ensure jobs are done according to schedule to maintain compliance
- Train personal to enable coverage during leave and sickness
- Site auditing
- Completion of EOM fuel reports
- Liaising with site personal regarding faults and defects
- Excellent workmanship and attention to detail to meet the standards of Fortescue
- Excellent customer communication skills
- Be able to work as part of a team or independently
- Be productive to complete tasks within set time
- Possess a positive attitude even under pressure
Qualifications and Experience
- C class licence
- Demonstrated experience with fuel transport and infrastructure, including mechanical knowledge
- Demonstrated computer skills, particularly with excel, outlook and SCADA
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role and capacity, or with fuel industry experience being a plus.
- Organisational Skills: Excellent time management, planning, and organisational abilities.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with fatigue management, dangerous goods, and road transport rules and regulations.
- Decision Making: Ability to apply logic and experience to make timely, sound judgements.
