About the role:
The Full Stack Engineer supports the Digital Engineering Lead within the Digital Engineering team to develop products and features to support the delivery of online services to the organisation and to customers.
This role is responsible for the ongoing maintenance and development of existing web properties and the build and deployment of new customer facing products. This role would suit an accomplished Web Developer with a background in integration and front end technologies.
Key Accountabilities:
- Write accessible code for Drupal and Wordpress using PHP and common JavaScript frameworks.
- Specify, configure and utilise integration endpoints and APIs
- Support, maintain and enhance a variety of systems
- Actively participate within a small agile project team
- Provide expert advice and assistance to FED’s BED’s and Test analysts.
- Assist in building a sustainable CI/CD using Azure DevOps and Git.
- Participate and sometimes lead in regular deployments
- Produce high quality concise but well thought out system documentation
Experience:
- 5+ years experience developing web based solutions using PHP, HTML, CSS, SQL, AJAX, SOAP, XML etc
- Experience with integrating systems through middleware such as Dell Boomi
- Familiarity with website accessibility standards and the application of WCAG to meet level AA compliance
- Experience in using Linux, Apache, MySQL and Cloud Hosting Solutions (WHM/Azure)
- Experience in building, maintaining and using CI/CD pipelines and using code management tools
- Past experience using agile methodology and tools and working within an agile team
- Drupal experience highly regarded but not essential
- Knowledge of JAVA and testing frameworks also highly regarded but not essential
