Ruocco’s Pizzeria E Ristorante is looking for a Full Time Cook that is passionate about what is being served to the customers. A successful candidate is required to have the following attributes/knowledge/experience:
- Minimum 2 years experience in all aspects of the kitchen (pans, grill & larder sections, as well as prep and clean down)
- Fast-paced (the restaurant sits over 275 patrons)
- Knowledge and experience in Italian cuisine
- Be able to start immediately
- Work weekends & mainly evenings
- Very good knowledge of food handling and preparation
- Team player
- Ability to communicate fluently in English is quintessential
- Able to adapt accordingly
Additional attributes include:
- planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies
- monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
- discussing food preparation, presentation and service matters with management, kitchen staff and waiting staff
- demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
- preparing and cooking food
- explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations
- examining food to ensure quality
- regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment
- portioning food, plating and garnishing
- storing food in temperature controlled facilities
- preparing food to meet special dietary requirements
- able to assist in training other kitchen staff and apprentices
Remuneration package:$70,000 per annum + superannuation.
