AddressUNA Sippy Downs is privately owned and family run long day care centre. Our aim is to provide early childhood care and education in a safe, welcoming, adopting and nurturing environment.
Our chefs work in a well-respected position, creating nutritious meals for the children in our care using rotational menus that they develop.

Child Protection, Fire Training, Safe Sleeping Training, Food Safety Training all paid for and completed on the job.
About the Role
• Your duties will include preparing morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea, for the children based on a 4 week rotating menu
• Ensuring that the meals prepared meet the special dietary needs of the children with allergies & cultural preferences
• Ensure safe and hygienic storage, handling and preparation of food and drinks
• Order food supplies in line with menus and check of food deliveries made to the Centre
• Communicate positively with children, families and educators on a daily basis

Una Sippy Downs is a 7 room Service (105 chn) with excellent facilities, resources and natural outdoor environments. The Centre is rated as Exceeding National Quality Standards .

Una has 7 services in Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast with over 30 years of experience caring for children and their families. We also have over 30 years of experience in supporting and guiding exceptional Early Childhood Professionals to be the best in their field. We truly care for our team of Educators and believe a supported team is a successful team who can provide the best possible outcomes for children.
About you
• Qualified Chef or Cook
- Relevant qualification in hospitality/nutrition advantageous with food safety supervisor course- desired.
- Previous experience in a similar roles desirable - Childcare Centre, Aged Care or similar environment
- Must be available Monday to Friday
- Experience in providing Allergy Safe Food
- Current Working with Children Check or able to obtain
- First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain one
