Job description

3 Month Contract | Sydney Location

Role Description - tasks to be performed on a daily basis:

  • Meet with clients to understand their business needs and requirements for digital processes and data capture
  • Identify areas where digital processes can improve data capture and overall business operations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement digital processes that align with client needs and industry best practice
  • Develop and facilitate workshops with clients on digital process design and implementation, data capture, validation and process governance
  • Conduct quality reviews of deliverables to ensure they meet client requirements and industry standards
  • Participate in project meetings and provide progress updates to clients and stakeholders
  • Provide training and support to clients on how to use and maintain digital processes
  • Collaborate with change management teams to ensure that digital process changes are communicated and adopted by stakeholders

Mandatory Skills:

  • A strong understanding of the rail industry, its regulations, and business processes related to the engineering and maintenance (including signalling plans, track, rollingstock, train operating conditions, control systems)
  • Knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for process improvements and innovation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills: The ability to communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams
  • Problem-solving skills, ability to identify and solve complex problems, often working with limited information

Desired Attributes and Skills:

  • Experience creating process maps and flowcharts to document and analyse business processes using industry standard process mapping tools and techniques e.g. Visio, BPNM
  • Understanding of Data Solution Architecture and Design
  • Experience designing data solutions that meet business requirements
  • Understanding of data modeling techniques
  • Familiarity with data governance principles and data quality metrics

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide recommendations for digital solutions that are optimized, efficient, and effective.
  • Provide the functional knowledge share and application of rail industry expertise to the team
