About the role
Cricket Tasmania has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Functions Coordinator to join our team. Based at Blundstone Arena in Bellerive the Functions Coordinator works as part of the broader Food and Beverage team with a focus on delivering room setups and executing events. You will work in conjunction the rest of the Venue Operations team, which are a highly diverse team managing catering, curating, maintenance and events.
About you
You have a had a minimum of 5 years' experience at a senior level in a function centre or similar environment
You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and can influence and build strong relationships with multiple stakeholders
You have demonstrated experience leading, engaging and empowering staff.
You have a strong customer service orientation
You are highly self-motivated and organised
You don't mind manual work as room setup will be your thing.
You have excellent computer skills with proficiency in MS Office applications
You have strong food and beverage skills, knowledge and experience
You are able to work flexible hours including weekends where required
You have a Responsible Service of Alcohol certification
You have a Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People registration or are willing to obtain one
