About the Role

The Functions Supervisor plans the catering set up arrangements for functions and oversees the operation of food and beverage service operations during functions and events. This is a diverse role supervising a range of events including conferences, cocktail functions, banquets and large scale concerts and sporting events.

Reporting to the Catering Operations Manager in addition to planning and delivering set up arrangements the role will also coordinate cash management procedures; stock control and ordering processes for functions and events; roster for the service of functions and events; lead the front of house team during delivery of food and beverage service at functions and events and as required act as the Approved Manager. The role will ensure customers’ expectations are exceeded and that facilities are presented to the highest standard at all times.

This is a full time, permanent opportunity

Whilst the position will be based at HBF Stadium in Mount Claremont, mobility may be required between the portfolio of facilities.

About the Person

The ideal candidate will have previous demonstrated experience in the successful delivery of retail catering functions and events and ideally some experience in the delivery of large format functions. They will have exceptional food and beverage customer service skills and experience leading a front of house team during service delivery.

Additionally, they will have the capacity to complete a course in Liquor Licensing (51544) and have the ability to become Approved Manager; or capacity to complete within 3 months of commencement
