A full-time position is currently available for a Funeral Director's Assistant to join our team.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Assisting on funerals as a Funeral Director's assistant
- Providing best practice in the preparation and presentation of deceased persons - To our standards and including special family requests
- Lifting of deceased and coffins
- Transfer of the deceased
- Accurately complete mortuary registration and checking procedures
- Trimming of coffins/caskets and nameplate engraving
- Washing of vehicles
- General cleaning duties
- Being on an on-call, after-hours roster
Skills and Experience:
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service at all levels
- Ability to effectively communicate to both colleagues and clients
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Must be in a fit state of physical and psychological health to adequately perform the duties required - the position is physically demanding
- Be emotionally mature and possess high personal grooming standards
- Attention to detail
