The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Furnace Technician to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for both the operation and technical maintenance of our furnaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and control furnaces according to standard procedures and work instructions.
- Monitor furnace performance, temperature, and pressure gauges to ensure optimal efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with the furnaces, working closely with the engineering team.
- Load and unload materials with care, always adhering to safety protocols.
- Determine and apply appropriate heat treatment processes for specific materials in collaboration with engineers.
- Conduct routine and preventive maintenance on equipment to guarantee reliability and longevity.
- Record and document all data, maintaining accurate and detailed records of production runs.
- Adhere to strict safety and quality standards, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
Your Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role, particularly with heat treatment processes, is preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues.
- Solid understanding of furnace operations and maintenance.
- Commitment to safety and quality in all aspects of work.
- Exceptional organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- A team player who can also work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and flexibility to meet evolving job demands.
