AddressTo be successful in the position you will posses the following:
- Must have a full upholstery qualification with a minimum of 3 years experience.
- Must be proficient in all aspects of upholstery, including cutting and sewing
- Must have experience in a fast paced, production line manufacturing environment
- Must be able to complete all aspects upholstery duties as required
- Must be able to sew with industrial sewing machines
- Must be able to read cutting lists, patterns and cut fabric manually
- Must have experience and knowledge on how to use automated cutting machines, preferably Pathfinder machines
- Must be flexible to complete alternate duties like loading trucks as needed
- Must be confident and able to meet deadlines
- Must have good communication skills
- Must be fit and mobile
- Must be punctual and reliable
Duties (including but not limited to):
- Fit fabric to arms and frames of sofas
- Pre fabricate frames with foam using both glue and staples
- Assembling frames and arms together to complete the furniture
- Precisely measuring and cut fabric, both manually and using our Pathfinder cutting machine
- Sewing fabric pieces together for use on the upholstery line
Hours will be full time (38 hours week), Mon-Thu 7-4, Fri 7-1.
