Job Description: FX Settlement specialist
Job Type: Full Time / On-site
Location: Sydney, Australia
Reporting to: Head of operation
Responsibilities
- Overseeing daily settlements of incoming and outgoing payments with various cut off times
- Working closely with Compliance on payment screening and post-transaction monitoring, ensuring all policies are adhered to
- Investigating and resolving payment issues
- Working with stakeholders to continuously look for ways to improve the efficiency of internal procedures
- Understanding AUSTRAC IFTI DRA lodgment requirements and regulations to ensure regulatory obligations are met in a timely and accurate manner.
- Responsible for derivative transaction reporting to ASIC through third party providers
- Liaising with the Head Office finance team on daily reconciliation of bank accounts.
- Evaluating the rollout of any developments and managing workflow changes with internal and external teams
- Participating in new projects as a Subject Matter Expert and ensuring new procedures are implemented seamlessly into daily operations
- Exposure to International Payments platforms and associated technologies, applications, and standards, such as SWIFT, ISO20022 and AMH (Alliance Messaging Hub)
Requirements
- 3 years experiences in similar role preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese
- Attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and with other departments
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel skills in particular)
