ABOUT THE ROLE

AFL SportsReady currently has an exciting full time position available for someone wanting to pursue a career in the Sports & Recreation industry.

• Work on-site with SANFL at the North Adelaide Football Club
• Supportive team environment
• Fully funded qualification: Certificate III in Sport, Aquatics and Recreation or Certificate IV in Sport Development
• Support from a dedicated AFL SportsReady Field Officer to help you achieve your goals
• If you are Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, you will also receive one-on-one mentoring support and networking

This position is responsible for providing quality experiences to promote and grow grassroots Australian Rules Football, through School promotions, clinics, Auskick, Sporting Schools, competitions, and School holiday programs.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Auskick
• Assist promotion through assembly, clinics and marketing within Schools and at Community Football Clubs
• Deliver a quality experience by leading Auskick centres as required

School Football
• Assist delivery of the game day experience for SANFL School competitions
• Assist delivery of Primary and Secondary School Sports Day(s)

Sporting School Programs
• Promote Sporting School programs to stakeholders as required
• Deliver quality Sporting School programs as instructed

School Holiday Programs
• Assist delivery of Next Step and SANFL School holiday programs as instructed

SANFL Club
• Engage with SANFL Club stakeholders, building relationships and Club knowledge

Collaboration
• Engage across SANFL departments to build knowledge and assist as required
• Communicate with internal/external stakeholders as required

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• High level communication skills
• High attention to detail and a sense of accountability
• Experience in Microsoft Office programs
• Flexibility in work schedule
• Experience working with and coordinating volunteers
• Negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Must have drivers license and own a vehicle (reimbursement provided for km accumulated on the job)

SALARY

As the successful candidate, you will receive:

$25,000 – $39,000 plus 11% Superannuation

  • National Training Wage Award
  • Fully Funded Qualification
