Gardener / Grounds Person - Bus In / Bus Out (ex Darwin or Katherine)

Northern Rise Village Services (owned by Sirrom Corp) is a leading provider of hospitality services to the resource and construction sector. Established in 2013, we have a presence in multiple remote locations throughout Australia.

We are seeking a Gardener / Grounds Person to fill a permanent vacancy at our village operations located approximately 330kms south of Darwin near the township of Katherine.

The point of hire is either Darwin or Katherine and the roster is a fixed 14 days on / 7 days off role. 

Whilst taking ownership of the gardens at the village, you will also have an array of basic grounds duties, with some minor maintenance duties to complete throughout the day which form part of our essential services on site.

In addition to your daily gardening / grounds duties, you will also be required to drive a minibus to transport a small number of village residents to and from the nearby base. 

Your workday is predominately outdoors, so this autonomous role will suit someone who is comfortable to work in the extreme heat for long periods of time.

Duties:

• General gardening including: weeding, mowing lawns, pruning trees, operating and maintaining gardening equipment
• Bus runs as required
• Cleaning of buses and vehicles (inside and out)
• Emptying and cleaning of village rubbish bins
• Maintain the village grounds in a neat and tidy manner
• Undertake minor maintenance duties 

To be eligible to apply you MUST possess the following:

• Current Australian driver's licence (not international)
• Previous basic maintenance experience
• Proven gardening experience
• Ability to pass a medical and drug and alcohol screen
• National Police Clearance (not more than 6 months old)
