A great opportunity has become available with Better Vegetation Management Pty Ltd - Emerald QLD and surrounding areas for a Gardener/Labourer to join our team, with the variety of working across our multiple community, council & mining sites.

We are looking for suitably qualified or experienced staff in the first instance, but strongly encourage keen, hardworking with a willingness to learn candidates apply also.
The key responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Mowing
- Weed removal and spraying.
- Watering of gardens and lawns
- Green waste clearing and removal.
- Operating commercial powered equipment e.g.: Mowers, Whipper Snipper, Hedge Trimmer, Blower.
- Tree felling & trimming
- Tractor Slashing
To ensure your success in this role, you must have:
- Previous outdoor gardening experience preferred but not required.
- Previous use of gardening equipment (motorised hedge trimmers, whipper snippers, mowers, and herbicide sprays) preferred but not required.
- Physically fit and able to perform strenuous tasks in various weather conditions especially heat.
- A strong work ethic, reliable, punctual, a keen eye for detail, and a genuine love for working outdoors.
- The ability to work on a mine site and willingness to participate in all inductions, medicals and adhere to mine site drug/alcohol policies. (No smoking policy also applies to onsite work)
- PPE, uniforms, and boots supplied.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A full driver’s license with the ability to drive a manual vehicle an advantage.
- A great attitude and commitment to safety.
