O’Hanlon Property & Garden Maintenance is a small family business seeking enthusiastic staff to undertake Gardening and labour work within the North Eastern, Northern and Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. - 15 - 40 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
- Variery of work environments – private residential, commercial sites, stratas, schools
- Casual / full-time and or part-time roles available
- Remuneration as per award and experience
- Vehicle and tools provided
- Paid work trials are offered
- Mix of working in a team and working autonomously
Duties include, but are not limited to –
• General gardening
• Spreading mulch / rocks
• Assisting with laying of turf
• Pruning and hedging
• Using a blower to clear pathways
• Mowing lawns, trimming edges
• Green waste removal
• Driving an automatic work ute to and from jobs and picking up supplies from landscape centres and hardware stores
Requirements
• Valid Australian Driver’s Licence
• Current Police Check and or Victorian Working with Children Check (successful applicant/s may apply for these requirements upon offer of employment.)
Personal Qualities
• Previous experience working in a Gardening and or maintenance capacity is highly desirable; however, not essential as on the job training will be provided.
• Enthusiastic worker who can work productively in a small team, and also has the ability to work autonomously
• Takes initiative to get the job done and uses strategic thinking to plan tasks on site and problem solve
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow directions
• Punctual and reliable
• Takes pride in their work with a keen eye for detail
• Enjoys working outdoors
