AddressWe are currently seeking a fit and reliable Gas Bottle Refiller/Cans & Bottles Recycling Sorter/General Hand to be a key member of our retail and recycling depot in a small family based business located at Waterloo Corner. This is a hands-on role which will require regular contact with our customers in an outdoor/undercover retail environment.
This is a casual position 1 day per week (8hours between 8.30am and 5pm) may include some Saturday mornings (8.30am - 12noon) and willig to be flexible to cover sickness/annual leave absences at short notice.
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate the following:
- physically fit due to the nature of the duties and manual handling required
- enthusiastic with a strong work ethic
- excellent communication skills with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service
- punctual
- reliable
- honest
- organised
- ability to work either in a team environment or unsupervised on occasions
Your Responsibilities include:
- Refilling of GAS BOTTLEs up to 18kg (majority are 9kg)
- Sorting and counting of cans and bottles
- Sale and loading of fodder, firewood, charcoal and some landscape supplies
- General work area/yard housekeeping activities
- Daily interaction with customers and assist with enquiries as required
- Adherence to F Stephens & Son P/L safety and other policies and procedures
- Maintaining a tidy and organised work area/yard.
Licences required:
- Current Drivers Licence - ability to operate a manual vehicle
- Fork truck licence (preferred but not essential )
- Front End Loader licence (preferred but not essential)
- Police check or willingness to complete/obtain
- Willingness to undergo a pre employment medical and drug and alcohol testing
