The Billing and Credit function is part of the Group Finance and Corporate division which is responsible for the overall management of Billing and Credit Management across Optus. This includes credit and fraud risk assessment, collections and recoveries, and billing and payments.
The day to day

-Support the development, build, deployment and adoption of data science specifically within our Fraud, Credit and Collections teams.
-Delivery of tangible analytical assets, utilising appropriate sophisticated techniques and contextualising these into end to end pipelines.
-Engage with business teams across the business as required to clearly define the business problem, articulate approach, process, assumptions and pathways to drive efficient solutions adoption.
-Strong curiosity with the ability to bring different approaches and new perspectives to solving problems.
Why you are our next Senior Data Scientist

-Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Analytics
-Extensive experience in a Finance/Data science role with experience in data modelling/ability to business case/perform evaluations
-Experience within Fraud, Credit or Collections
-Experience engaging senior stakeholders in tackling business problems and presenting business recommendations
