About the engagement:
Green Light are looking for a GE SmallWorld Architect to join our AU delivery team on an exciting and challenging end customer projects. Expertise on the solution architecture of the latest version of GE Smallworld and its components is essential in this role.
Playing a key part in delivering within this cross skilled environment, it is imperative that you are able to provide advice to enterprise end customers in regard to technical optioning process of the requirements in the options / design stage is essential.
 
Responsibilities:

• Carrying out a GAP analysis on the Field Use requirements and the potential options for meeting them (currently the GE mobility application / Tensing upgrade / Spatial Hub modification are the 3 identified contenders at this stage).
• Documenting the TO BE Architecture in approved templates (ASD / TAD) and managing the internal consultation and endorsement. Peer review their work from Solution Architect Practice Lead.
• Ensure solution alignment to architecture principles, standards, frameworks and patterns.
• Responsible for overall end to end architecture of the GIS platform covering latest version of GE components, satellite systems, downstream and upstream systems.
• Hands-on development experience and in Solution Design, Technical design, Data model design for Smallworld solution.
• Experience in legacy GIS Smallworld data extractions would be preferable (with specific experience on FME, data cleansing approach)
• Experience in Programming languages Magik, SQL and Java is desirable.
• Experience on basic features and functionalities on Databases like Oracle, Maximo and PostgreSQL/SQLite is preferable.

 
 
Skills & Experience 

• Minimum nine (9) years in a similar capacity as a Solutions Consultant and/or Solutions Architect specifically with GE Smallworld solution implementation for global customers. At least 2 utilities implementation experience.
• Experience and skills in Smallworld 3.3, as well as web development, for SIAS applications.
• Deep knowledge and experience of application development GE Smallworld CST (Core Spatial Technology), Water Office, Design Manager, Smallworld GeoSpatial Server, Job/Quality Manager, Data Interoperability GSS components.
