The role:
About the role: The Gearbox Fitter will be responsible for providing support to our customers while ensuring optimal performance and maintenance of the HBT product line. Additionally providing detailed performance data and reporting back to HBT to assist in continuous product improvement and reliability initiatives and projects.
Your primary responsibilities will include the strip and assessment, rebuild and assembly of all aspects of Underground Mining Equipment. The successful applicant will leverage their technical expertise to audit, repair/replace components on HBT equipment.
About you
We are looking for someone who has:
- Previous Gearbox and or transmission overhaul experience
- An understanding of leveling and alignment of Gear Assemblies
- Basic tooling skills
- Experience working with Overhead Gantry Cranes.
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
- Value and understanding of occupational health and safety.
Qualifications:
- Appropriate trade certifications
- Forklift (desirable)
- Working at heights (Desirable)
- Dogging/ rigging (desirable)
