An exciting opportunity within our Assembly team exists for an Assembler/ Picker. This position reports to the Assembly Supervisor/Team Leader.

Role
The primary purpose of this position is to be responsible for the assembly, test and packing of products to the highest possible standard in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Assembling, testing, and packing our products
- Operating hand tools and semi-automatic machinery to produce parts, assemblies & complete units
- To ensure that the daily targets are achieved in a correct manner, with no damage
- To always ensure that work in completed safely and that any unsafe situation or action is reported immediately
- To maintain the highest possible standards of housekeeping and hygiene
- To carry out any task or duty as required by the company, and as instructed by your immediate supervisor or other line manager
- Picking the correct items & quantities where required in a timely manner
- Count & put stock away in a safe & timely manner
- Weekly stock take on class "A" items
Knowledge and Experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work to time frames
- Good hands-on skills, including being able to use a variety of hand tools
- Good attention to detail
- Good Computer Skills (familiarity with ERP is an advantage but is not necessary – training provided)
- Forklift license (an advantage but not necessary)
- A strong work ethic
- Ability to follow procedures and safety requirements
- Ability to work well in a team
- Ability to work independently when required
