Details: We are looking for an experienced and energetic General Manager to provide leadership for the Erindale Active Leisure Centre. You will play a crucial leadership role shaping the strategic direction for the Centre, and ensuring business practices meet Government’s high expectations of rigour and transparency. You will support the Centre Manager to deliver smooth and safe Centre operations, and foster a safe, supportive, and positive work environment. You will lead the transition to new governance arrangements for the centre.
You will be able to demonstrate skills and experience in:
- Business management and leadership.
- Strategic planning.
- Developing and leading a program of change in an organisation.
- Business administration systems, including financial management and accountability.
- Ideally you will also have management experience in the leisure industry, and in the public sector.
The General Manager will build and grow an organisational culture of continuous improvement, rigour, and transparency. You will be responsible for ensuring the Centre meets and exceeds the community's high expectations of public administration and accountability. You will also lead the organisation through a period of change. At its essence, your role will involve:
- Strategic Planning
- Financial Management
- Facilities Management
- Change management
- Communications and stakeholder engagement
- Procurement and contract management
- Compliance, Risk and Governance

- Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) - Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required.
