About the Role:
Tradewind are working with a Secondar school oriented in Taylor's Lakes, situated in the Western suburbs of Melbourne, offering a 7-10 General Maths position in a full time, With approximately 1400 students ranging from years 7-12, this school offers a fantastic opportunity to be an integral part of a dynamic school community. The institution is welcoming to both new graduates and seasoned teachers, offering learning coaching and access to exceptional resources.
Key duties:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive math curriculum that aligns with The Victorian Curriculum
- Create engaging and interactive lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to effectively convey mathematical concepts and problem-solving strategies.
- Provide timely feedback to students on their performance and progress in math.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the individual needs of students, including providing additional support or challenges as needed.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on best practices in math education, teaching methodologies, and curriculum development.
- Collaborate with other math teachers and school staff to share resources, ideas, and best practices.
- Completed relevant Qualifications in Education
- Maintain a valid and up-to-date VIT registration
- Have unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Demonstrate previous experience in Secondary Maths/Placement in Australia advantageous
- Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
