Additionally, financial incentives are available for those joining our rural practices. Eligible internationally recruited GPs may be able to access up to $20,000 in two lump-sum payments over a two-year bonding period, plus coverage for PAYE and 1.53% ACC levy, as part of a commitment from Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora. This offer is available for contracts signed up to 30th June 2024.
Requirements
You will need:
- MRCGP certification — this will streamline your path to a Fellowship with the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners
- Health and wellness — you and any accompanying family members should meet the health standards required by NZ Immigration to ensure a smooth transition
- Background checks — standard police vetting and necessary immunisations are required
