Form of workWe are a solo GP Practice seeking a General Practitioner to join our friendly team here at McRitchie Crescent Surgery in Whyalla, South Australia.
Whyalla is a coastal town located on the Eyre Peninsula and is a four-hour drive or a fifty-minute flight from Adelaide. Surrounded by beautiful beaches, there are opportunities for swimming, snorkelling, kayaking, and fishing. Whyalla boasts an award-winning jetty, and is a World Heritage Site for the Giant Cuttlefish which visits yearly between May - July. Where the outback meets the sea, you can go running or cycle the mountain bike trails around Mount Laura. The scenic peaks and gorges of the Flinders Ranges are a short two hour drive up north.
Local GPs are supported by the Whyalla Hospital, which provides the community with General Medical and Specialist Surgical Care, Anaesthetics, Cardiac, Obstetric/Gynaecological services, chemotherapy, and renal dialysis. The largest employer in town is the Steelworks factory, which has undergone a change in management and looks forward to a bright future.
We are currently looking for a full-time General Practitioner to join our busy practice. We are an AGPAL accredited bulk-billing practice providing high standards of healthcare. Our newly refurbished clinic offers brand new computer systems, multiple consulting rooms, and access to an experienced practice nurse. This is a rewarding opportunity for the right person to join a family oriented friendly practice with a determined focus on work life balance.
Applicants must have the following requirements:
- Relevant experience and qualifications
- Current AHPRA registration
- Current National Police check
- Valid DHS/DCSI working with children check
- Current medical indemnity insurance
- Australian citizen or permanent resident
- Good time management skills
- Able to work effectively within a team environment
Remuneration is by a percentage of billings, which is negotiable.
