General Practitioner

We are looking for a General Practitioner to join our team of GPs to provide primary care to residents of the West Tamar Region. Our medical software is Medical Director.
The position
Core duties include:
Provide care to patients in an appropriate manner
Maintain detailed and accurate medical records
Provide compassionate, exemplary medical treatment for a range of illnesses and conditions
Prescribe medication and refer patients to specialists or testing centres as necessary
Coordinate with other health professionals to ensure patients receive consistent advice and care
Comply with all relevant legislation and medical regulations
Normal working sessions are 8.30am-12.00pm and 2.00pm-5.00pm Monday to Friday.
On an approximately fortnightly basis, perform the role of Duty Dr (on the day bookings), instead of normal session,this runs from 2.00pm to 6.00pm
Saturday morning 9.00am-12.00pm on a rotational basis (1 in 10)

The organisation
West Tamar Health is an AGPAL accredited practice and has an experienced team of general practitioners, dermatologist,paediatrician, nurses and administration staff.
We strive to offer our patients excellent quality medical care.
The practice is located within a precinct, where nearby there is a pharmacy, pathology, dentist, café, gym, supermarket, post office & childcare facilities available.
Excellent Riverside location with ample onsite parking and excellent access to the West Tamar Highway, 9 mins to Launceston CBD and 7mins to Legana.
