SalaryA fantastic opportunity has become available for an ongoing temporary General Yard Hand to work with our client who is a leading provider in the Equipment Hire Sector to the construction industry.
Due to continuous growth, a new position has become available for a highly motivated General Yard Hand to join their Laverton North site location.
We want an individual who is a hard worker, can follow strict safety protocols, enjoys working around machinery and willing to get their hands dirty!
Duties will include:
- Plant and equipment storage and cleaning
- Site and yard maintenance
- Receiving and inspecting machinery via Despatch as directed
- Basic maintenance tasks across the yard and sheds
- Professional yard customer service
- Regular liaison with Senior Management and co-workers
- Available to work full-time hours (Monday to Friday - ongoing)
Skills Requirements:
- Good communication skills
- Strong work ethic where you are prepared to learn on the job
- Valid Drivers Licence
- LF Forklift Licence advantageous but not essential
- EWP Ticket advantageous but not essential
- Ability to use a high-pressured hose and hand-tools
- Capacity to manage the maintenance and cleanliness of the yard and workshops
This is a great role for a self-starter who enjoys variety, available to start immediately, happy with the casual rate of $31.00 to $32.50 per hour plus super and wants to work close to home.
