The Role
We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Analyst. The role will be responsible for providing high quality GIS services to add value and support multiple business functions and projects in Squadron Energy.
Key responsibilities:
- Proficiently operate ESRI ArcGIS Pro desktop software to manage data, analyse, run processes and produce high quality visualisation of the results
- Design and document map production procedure, standard symbology and map templates for high quality and high-volume cartographic products
- Data management in the Enterprise Geodatabase, web app configuration and publishing
- Liaise with internal clients to scope work
- Manage incoming and outgoing data, data validation and quality
- Design, develop and run models to improve processes
- Training and mentoring of GIS desktop Power Users
- Produce high quality and high-volume cartographic products
- Contribute to the development and implementation of standards and procedures in alignment with SQE Spatial Analytics strategy for enhanced quality assurance, data interoperability and governance
- Process documenting, development of user guides, end user training and support
- Maintain a current working knowledge of GIS analytics, geoprocessing, data management and web solutions
About you
You will have:
- Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in GIS analytics.
- Tertiary qualifications in GIS or related discipline.
- Proven track record in data management, map production, spatial analytics and geoprocessing using ArcGIS Pro.
- Demonstrated hands on experience in high quality data visualisation and designing the look and feel of cartographic products and web maps
- Experience in web map and app configuration and publishing.
- Demonstrated experience in developing training material, providing training and mentoring others
- High level of technical skills in ERSI ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Portal/ArcGIS Online.
- Experience in providing GIS services for infrastructure projects across the whole asset life cycle is highly advantageous.
- A current Australian driver’s licence
