We are seeking to establish a pool of talent that we can draw on to fill current vacancies:

  • GIS Product Officers (Level 4), and
  • GeoSpatial Data Management Officers (Level 4)

Our GIS roles are responsible for the production, Data Management and delivery of publication quality information products in support of the Department and Western Australian Commission (WAPC) planning program to enable informed decision-making based on data and understanding of risk.

This is a pool recruitment process for permanent full-time, and fixed term full-time opportunities. Suitable applicants will be placed in a Pool from which appointments may be made for similar vacancies for a period of 12 months.

Located in Perth CBD in a convenient location, above the Perth Underground Station; close to the Wellington Street Bus Station and City CAT services.

To be successful for these positions, you need to demonstrate:

  • Demonstrated experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and management of GeoSpatial Data
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of Geospatial Data Management, preferably within an Esri, GIS and/or FME environment
  • Undertakes a range of work program activities, including manipulation and analysis of GeoSpatial Datasets incorporating image processing and publication mapping products.
  • High level written and communication skills, with the ability to produce procedural documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of current and emerging trends in the geospatial environment.
