GIS Officer (Full time), Adelaide.
EBS Ecology is seeking a GIS Officer to join our team on a Full time contract basis. We are looking for a professional person who is committed to delivering projects to the highest standards. You will be motivated, hard-working and have tertiary qualifications in GIS, spatial systems, or a directly related discipline. You will have a minimum of two years of experience in the geospatial industry. You will have strong knowledge of and demonstrated experience in the use of the latest versions of ArcGIS. You will have strong knowledge of spatial data formats, including ESRI/MapInfo/AutoCAD and imagery formats and demonstrated experience in spatial data management. You will be confident, have the ability to work within a small team environment and be able to follow well documented procedures. Experience with mobile GIS technology will be an advantage. An understanding of ecological principles would also be looked upon favourably.
The GIS Officer will undertake data creation and maintenance, spatial modelling and analysis, obtain GIS data from external sources and deliver high quality geographic information presentation for a broad range of projects. These will include flora and fauna assessments, preparation of management plans, revegetation planning projects and threatened species projects.
