Our Insights and Data team helps our clients make better business decisions by transforming an ocean of data into streams of insight. Due to continued growth within Capgemini's Insights & Data practice, we intend to recruit a BI Engineer with relevant consulting and communication skills. Roles and responsibilities:

As a GIS Specialist Data Engineer (NV1), you can manage and optimize geospatial data solutions. You will design, develop, and maintain GIS databases, workflows, and applications. Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate GIS functionalities into business processes, ensuring data accuracy and usability. Your role involves leveraging your expertise in spatial analysis, data modeling, and GIS software to support diverse projects and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain GIS databases, applications, and spatial data workflows.
  • Integrate GIS solutions with business processes to enhance data-driven decision-making.
  • Conduct spatial analysis and data modeling to derive insights and recommendations.
  • Ensure data quality, accuracy, and integrity within GIS databases and applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement GIS solutions that meet client requirements.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to stakeholders on GIS tools, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Manage and optimize geospatial data infrastructure and systems.
  • Adhere to security and compliance standards, including NV1 clearance requirements.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in GIS technology.
Required Experience and Skills:
  • Proven experience as a GIS Specialist or Data Engineer with NV1 clearance.
  • Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS), spatial databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle Spatial), and geospatial data formats (e.g., GeoJSON, Shapefile).
  • Strong skills in spatial analysis, data modeling, and visualization techniques.
  • Experience in developing GIS applications or workflows using programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript).
  • Knowledge of cloud-based GIS solutions and platforms (e.g., ArcGIS Online, Google Earth Engine) is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geomatics, Computer Science, or a related field; relevant certifications preferred.
