Job Summary
We are currently seeking an experienced Process Simulation and Modeling professional to join our team at the Global Manufacturing Excellence (GME). At GME, we offer top-notch technical support to refineries, NGLF, and petrochemical plants owned by This Company and its affiliates worldwide, including facilities in Saudi Arabia. Your primary role will be to provide expert guidance and support to de-bottleneck process operations and optimize through Process Simulation technologies. You will lead improvement initiatives for all operating departments within our Global Manufacturing Portfolio.
Responsibilities:

  • Streamline Process Simulation & Optimization objectives with corporate goals and develop program best practices, monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to enhance Process Simulation and modeling performance.
  • Lead and develop Process Simulation models for refineries and NGL fractionations using dynamic or steady-state simulation software applications.
  • Perform Process Simulations and modeling using specialized software tools to analyze refinery processes and optimize their performance.
  • Develop and maintain thermodynamic models and mathematical equations accurately representing the behavior of various refinery processes.
  • Verify simulation model accuracy by comparing results with actual plant data and conducting sensitivity analyses.
  • Identify areas for process improvements and propose modifications or optimizations to increase efficiency, reduce costs, or meet regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct feasibility studies for performance improvement to increase yields and operational efficiency.
  • Analyze chronic problems and debottleneck complex models to enhance process operations and economic benefits.
  • Conduct safety assessments to evaluate the impact of potential process changes or plant modifications.
  • Lead technical sessions such as design reviews, model reviews, and commissioning.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to operating facilities' Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams through consulting, awareness sessions, and participation in technical exchanges and conferences.
  • Conduct benchmarks, business case studies, and pilot evaluations of Process Simulation technologies.
  • Review standards and General Instructions for the GME departments and act as a leading Subject Matter Expert (SME).
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate simulation results, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other engineers, researchers, and vendors to contribute to the development of new simulation software tools, methodologies, and techniques.
Requirements:
  • This role required candidate to permanently relocate at Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience with Process Simulation and Modeling technologies.
  • Demonstrated expertise in process engineering and flowsheet-based processes simulation.
  • Comprehensive understanding of refinery facilities, feedstock/product movements, margins, giveaways, process yields, and mass and energy balances.
  • Familiarity with international standards and specifications for advanced process control and process modeling.
  • Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills in the field of advanced process solutions.
  • Strong leadership skills to effectively manage technical discussions and guide technical teams.
