About the role:
Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for set up and running of a wide range of Folder Gluing and Packaging equipment whilst keeping breakdowns to a minimum ensuring the highest possible quality & performance.
To be successful in this role you will be required to;
- Have a high regard for safety for yourself and others.
- Ensures product is set up and made to specification
- Ensures quality control during production
- ensuring machines are run at fastest possible throughput for each job / machine combination - Ensures all paperwork and pre-start checks are completed
- Actively maintain the equipment whilst working with engineering to achieve the best possible quality and performance.
- Participates in 5S (lean manufacturing) of the work areas to increase equipment uptime, e.g., the efficient storage of change parts to reduce change over times
- Actively participates in the training of other production crew
- Sets a standard for maintaining the cleanliness of the equipment e.g., GMP /Housekeeping
- Experience working in a HACCP environment and with Folder Gluing Machines & H&S would also be highly regarded.
