This is a newly created position where you will be charged with establishing and leading the Public Affairs function. Reporting to the CEO and collaborating closely with leaders across the organisation, you’ll be a key member of the senior leadership team. In this role you will develop and implement comprehensive communications strategies that align with the company’s strategic plan and effectively articulate the company’s vision, values and initiatives to both internal and external stakeholders.
Your remit will be broad and include government and media relations, industry and community engagement and crisis management along with responsibility for important internal stakeholder communications.
We are searching for an experienced strategic communications professional looking to make a strong contribution in a rapidly growing business with extensive Tasmanian operations. You will have already developed expertise in a related communications field, ideally with prior experience in government relations. Naturally, you will have first class communication and relationship building skills with a flair for creating a compelling narrative to suit a range of audiences.
Prior industry experience is not essential, and we would encourage applications from those with a corporate, government, political and/or PR agency background.
