Golf Shop Attendant

Who are we?

Club Catalina is an award-winning, community oriented and values-based organisation situated in Batemans Bay on the beautiful South Coast of NSW, only 2 hours from Canberra and 3.5 hours from Sydney. Our vision is to be a leading, enjoyable, quality, inclusive, golfing and hospitality destination.

With over 1000 golf members and 10,000 social members, the Club is highly regarded for golf, functions, clubhouse, and social activities. 

We boast a challenging, well-manicured and exceptionally presented 27 Hole Championship golf course, well-appointed practice facilities and Golf shop, In-house Barista, Coffee Shop, Restaurant, Sports Bar, Gaming Precinct, Children’s outdoor playground, and lounge areas all in the comfort of our recently renovated modern Clubhouse. Member competitions are played 5 days a week with over 75,000 rounds a year.

What are we looking for?

This is an exciting opportunity providing plenty of variety for a motivated, team player to join our Golf Operations team. The successful candidate will report to the Director of Golf. 

As our Golf Shop Attendant your key responsibilities will include provision of customer service in our Golf Shop, including, but not limited to:

• Welcoming all customers and assisting with enquiries, tee time bookings, rentals 
• Assist customers in selecting and purchasing golf equipment, apparel, and accessories.
• Daily administration of competitions, time sheets and results 
• Maintaining knowledge of upcoming golfing fixtures and services to provide accurate information to members and visitors.
• Creating visually appealing displays and maintaining store presentation & cleanliness
• Assist with cleanliness of Golf cart hire fleet and driving range operations.

We seek a candidate who meets the following criteria:

• Exceptional customer service skills
• Customer service focused
• Flexibility to be scheduled to work any day 
• Team player as well as able to work autonomously
• A friendly, outgoing personality with strong communication skills
• Computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite 
• Physical ability to life and move golf equipment and merchandise
• Aligned to our core values of GRITT - Growth, Respect, Integrity, Teamwork and Trust.

Desirable

• Sound knowledge of golf knowledge, terminology, and industry trends
• Previous experience in retail, customer service or golf-related environment
• Passion for golf and knowledge of golf equipment, apparel, and accessories
• Current ‘Provide First Aid’ Competency
