About the practice

• Busy rural GP clinic is looking to engage a permanent full time GP. 
• Practice hours are Mon – Friday 9 am – 4.30 pm. 
• Supervision can be provided if required. 
• Currently  8 GPs and 3 registered nurses work within the practice.  The practice is well supported by experienced reception staff and in-house allied health professionals and medical specialists. 

The  aim is to give the patients the highest possible quality of care by ensuring excellence in all aspects of the practice whilst providing an informative and supportive workplace, showcasing the diversity of rural GP life.  As  they are the only GP service in the area, the successful applicant will have the opportunity to experience a wide variety of medical activities including VMO work at the local hospital.

About the area

Barrington Tops is part of the Mount Royal Range, a spur of the Great Dividing Range. Barrington Tops is a plateau between two of the large peaks in the range. The park is believed to be an extinct volcano and the mountain ranges are made up of a mixture of sedimentary rocks with a granite top. Erosion has weathered the granite and rounded granite boulders can be seen in some areas of the park. Estimates put the age of the rock at 300 to 400 million years, well before Australia separated from Gondwana.
