Centre State Asphalting, a division of VSA Roads, is an innovative asphalt manufacturer, coupled with the asphalt placement contracting arm has a proven track record of delivering high-quality works for a variety of clients including the Department of Transport, Councils, and civil contractors.
This full time position is located in Castlemaine, is a genuine opportunity to be part of an organization experiencing continuous growth. We are seeking to recruit a Graduate Engineer located (or willing to be located) in regional Victoria to join our contracting team.
About the Role
The day to day, primarily based in our Castlemaine office, consists of;
- Liasing with clients, to meet their needs
- Preparation of tenders and quotations
- Requesting and obtaining quotations as needed
- Review of technical documentation to ensure compliance
- Collaboration with co-workers to find solutions to problems
- Travel and live away from time to time, to facilitate the effective deployment of subcontractors
- Completing site inspections including but not limited to, measuring, JSAs and treatment advice
With opportunities to see a variety of aspects from quarry operations, laboratory testing to end job asphalt placement, each day provides a different challenge.
About the Applicant
You will have the following attributes:
- Have a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering (or Completing soon)
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritisation of key requirements
- Strong work ethic to operate autonomously when required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to follow directions and problem solving skills to find solutions
- Must be able to comply with police check and drug testing requirements
