Job description

Wood has a requirement for a Graduate EngineerStatic Equipment & Structures to join our Consulting team in Perth as part of our 2025 intake. 

To be considered you should have completed your Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering degree by the end of 2024 or earlier.

This is a terrific opportunity for a Graduate Engineer or an Engineer with limited experience to join a team of technical specialists working within engineering dynamics specifically focusing on Static Equipment systems. 

This is a practical consulting role combining hands-on field work and office based analysis and reporting.  In this role you will demonstrate your technical interests, particularly resolving the causes and effects of vibration in Static Equipment and structures, including piping and instrument tubing.  Working enthusiastically you will provide engineering solutions and services improving the integrity and performance of our client's facilities.   

We are looking for an applicant who will demonstrate experience or interest in the following:

  • A passion for troubleshooting
  • An interest in field work 
  • An interest in vibration-related integrity risk management to assist clients reduce emissions and work to increase safety and reliability in their assets
  • Some familiarity with P&IDs and isometric drawings
  • Using innovation to assist clients with energy transition and digitalisation
